Designed around the hard-hitting performance of the famous Hornady V-Max bullet, this ammunition is specifically designed for supremely accurate long-range shooting. The polymer tip enhances accuracy and promotes devastating expansion. It also increases the ballistic coefficient and stabilizes the bullet in flight. This ammunition is new production, non-corrosive, in boxer primed, reloadable brass cases.

This round features Hornady’s world famous V-MAX – a bullet engineered specifically for varmints. The 55 grain bullet’s intensely streamlined profile, match grade AMP jacket and flat base all make it inherently accurate. This round’s 3,680 fps muzzle velocity is well over three times faster than the speed of sound, which cooks a V-MAX until it exhibits a G1 ballistic coefficient of 0.255. That’s all you need to witness the 220 Swift’s legendary accuracy in action.

The V-MAX goes out the same way it takes flight: with a bang. Its polymer tip drives down to the base of its swaged lead core’s precision-formed shaft on impact, so it builds up a lot of energy before totally upsetting the core and jacket.
